Pitchfork’s new BFFs (Story 1, 2, Guest List, Forkcast, Review) A Place to Bury Strangers will bring their wall of sound/beautiful-noise rock to Mercury Lounge on Thursday along with Die Romantik, The Most Serene Republic and The Blacks. Their intense abbreviated set at Ludfest last week left the crowd wanting more while reminding me I will surely be deaf by 30.

If you miss them on Thursday the band will also be playing a number of CMJ showcases, below are the tentative details. If you don’t have tickets to M.I.A. on 10/20 then Jay Reatard & A Place to Bury Strangers should not be missed. Updated info will be posted on the calendar as it’s released.
