Polka Madre at Nacotheque Saturday

Supreme WTFery at Nacotheque on Saturday. Nacotheque is a dance party held the second and fourth Saturday every month at Fontana’s.
Via Nonsense NYC:
Saturday, 8/23: Live performance by Mexican Polka-punks Polka Madre. Hailing from Mexico City, these ragged but righteous internationalist weirdos blend Romanian dance music, Klezmer (listen to that punky clarinet!), Brahms dances, with strong rocking beats and ironically nihilist lyrics in at least three languages. During live shows, their sinister music can cause crowd nakedness, the breaking of bottles and liberal dabs of alcohol-scented sweat. They have toured extensively in Mexico, Europe and the USA, playing in the punk scene, bars, jails, schools, festivals and everywhere they are allowed to take out their instruments (if they are not allowed, they will play anyway, until police arrives).
Polka Madre just played Zebulon on Tuesday, anyone catch them? They’re also playing a Mexican restaurant tonight (Hecho en Dumbo) and the Mexico Now Festival on September 11.
