Sunday School for Degenerates NYC Photo Report

It took us a while, but after 2 weeks we can finally say we’ve recovered from New York City’s newest marathon: Sunday School for Degenerates.
The Good: The Overboard Boat Party with Steve Bug and Adultnapper.
Loading went on without a hitch. We were surprised by the doors opening on time and the hour of free liquor not being a total shit show like every other open bar in New York City.
The weather was great, the sound was good, and the music was fun. Steve Bug’s set combined with the setting sun really reminded us of a 6am dancefloor. We had a blast and we’re glad we went, but we’re not sure we could deal with more than one boat party a summer.

The Bad: Sunday School for Degenerates at Rebel
Given Studio B’s circumstances we understand why this was thrown at Rebel but we don’t have very many nice things to say about this midtown venue. Good music could not and would not save this club. We’re looking at you, security guards.
The Amazing: The Afterschool Special at The Yard.
We couldn’t ask for anything better to round out the Labor Day Weekend than Cassy and Steve Bug’s closing sets. Its really hard to explain how much we enjoyed the closing hours at The Yard, so we’ll just leave you with these pictures and this thought: We hope that The Afterschool Special becomes a yearly party.
