The Triumphant Showcase of Los Fancy Free: A Story in Photos

The story starts today at The Fader Fort, someone overflooded the toilet. The toilet water spread throughout the back of the venue.

During peak toilet floodage, Los Fancy Free takes the stage. Only the lead singer and guitarist are here. The drummer is nowhere to be found, the bassist is stuck at the airport after flying in from Mexico City.
The Triumphant Showcase of Los Fancy Free continued…

Martin the lead singer tries playing a song without his missing band members. English is his second language and the lyrics are not so strong, especially for a stripped down version. He tries his best making up for it with expressive hand gestures. He then kicks the cord out of his band member’s guitar by accident.
The crowd doesn’t know what to make of it. Martin announces his second song is about the Twin Towers, the set starts to get awful enough to be entertaining.

Carlos the drummer strolls up during the third song and starts playing as if nothing is wrong.

The band hits their stride. They can actually play their instruments and Martin the lead singer is a bit of rock star.

The bassist shows up during song five and the band is playing at full steam.

Los Fancy Free rocks pretty hard for the final two songs and turns out to be a solid band. Maybe for not all the right reasons but this was one of the more memorable sets of the day.
Fin.
